Microsoft's latest incarnation of it's office productivity suite, Office 2010 has reached RTM (Release to Manufacturing)status today. Disks will begin burning for retail sale, and OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturers) will begin creating images to be pre-installed on new PC's.

Adobe Reader 1500 Error From Latest Update

The Adobe Reader 9.3 updates that have been issued recently has created a wave of criticism as the automated installer reports failure for a number of users.

I have been able to get this to work properly on my Windows 7 machine. This process will probably also work for Win XP and Mac system as well.

Twitter hijacked by 'Iranian Cyber Army'

The microblogging platform Twitter was hijacked by a group claiming to be the "Iranian Cyber Army". The redirection lasted approximately 90 minutes.

The hijack occured when a hacker was able to get the credentials needed to actually log into the DNS service and redirect access away from twitter's servers to the cyber army.

Cherrypal, has developed a $ 99.00 laptop, the Cherrypal Africa, that is also a green computing machine. It has fewer parts than the typical laptop and also uses about 90 percent less energy.

AT&T has gotten beat up recently on Verizon Wireless commercials that tout a larger 3G footprint. The company has also had difficulty meeting the demand of data hungry smartphones, in particular the iPhone.

Smoking is Hazardous to your Apple Warranty

As anyone knows, smoking isn't good for you. According to Apple it's not good for your Apple computer and it voids the warranty. The consumerist website indicates that apple considers cigarette smoke a biohazard and does not allow their technicians to work on PC's that have been exposed to second hand smoke.
